The flawless and talented A.R. Rahman is known internationally for his impeccable writing skills. As a vocalist and music producer, the Indian composer has showcased his incredible work across the board, creating scores for a wide range of films as well as his own solo journey in music and as a member of the supergroup, SuperHeavy along with Mick Jagger, Joss Stone, Dave Stewart and Damian Marley.

With his effortless blend of Indian classical music with electronic and world genres, A.R. Rahman has become known for his unique soundscape which often includes mind blowing orchestral arrangements. A.R. Rahman kick started his career, he began developing on his composing talents and produced scores for several documentaries and adverts across the Indian television channels and as people started to take notice of his work, A.R. Rahman reached an attention grabbing status which led his scores to be featured in the blockbuster comedy, Couples Retreat in 2009. The soundtrack won Best Score at the BMI Awards and paved the way for his major success to follow.

In 2008, A.R. Rahman topped it all with his sensational score for the 2008 movie – Slumdog Millionaire which once again received awards, this time for Best Original Score and Best Original Song at the Academy Awards. The reception and highly respected reputation didn't stop there as he followed it all up with winning six National Film Awards, a BAFTA award and a Golden Globe among many others.
